Re: HDCD Decoding/Ripping support

I realised today that I own a Roxy Music CD that is a 'HDCD' (I have owned it for years and not noticed  I had to look up on wikipedia what it was!) The one I have is this one https://www.discogs.com/Roxy-Music-Viva-Roxy-Music/release/1422434 As you can see on Discogs, they can be bought second...

Re: ISRC on Explorer-like window

Hi, bumping this as I have the same query - why can't I add the ISRC field to the columns shown in the main window?

Re: Where is the changelong for the latest MMW version?

Ah, thanks :)

I think they should put a link to that in the little pop-up dialogue that tells you a new version is available

Where is the changelong for the latest MMW version?

Sorry if I'm being thick, but I've searched all over your website and this forum to find a changelog of what's new/fixed in the latest version of MMW, and I can't find where it is! I seem to remember seeing them for previous updates.
Where do I look?

Re: Is this a bug? Behaviour of blank fields on multiple sec

Simply clear pop and retype it .. But I will only know to do this if know that one or more of the fields is actually blank in the first place, that's the real nuisance for me! :) If I right click to edit a big bunch of files, and (say), their genre field is blank, then that immediately tells me tha...

Is this a bug? Behaviour of blank fields on multiple section

Here is something I have noticed in the MediaMonkey for WIndows (I'm on the latest version) - Scenario: I select a bunch of tracks in the library, and right-click on them all, to edit their metadata at once - if they all have the same value for a certain field (e.g Genre = "Pop"), EXCEPT some of the...

Re: Playlist Folders?

Bah, the playlists are stubbornly turning up in the same flat monolithic list on my Sony Walkman (ZX100), despite now being nested in the MediaMonkey tree. Any suggestions as to what to put in the Device > Options > Playlists settings to make it do this? I have "Destination directory" set to "\Playl...

Re: Playlist Folders?

Ah right, thanks :) It's a bit of a nuisance that it doesn't seem to let me select multiple items in the Playlist tree at once, and drag-and-drop them all to lie under the new 'folder' playlist I made, but I got it to work doing it one by one... Now I just need to see if the nesting structure is mai...

Re: Playlist Folders?

In my playlist list, I do have one expandable entry ("Imported playlists") - I can click this top level one and there's 100 or so more playlists in there from iTunes!
But I didn't make that myself, MMW did it at installation time.

Re: Playlist Folders?

Sorry if I am just being thick, but I can't figure out how to even create nested playlists (or folders of playlists) in the first place. The online help doesn't seem to mention it.
Currently I have a horribly unwieldly list of around 100 playlists in MediaMonkey, how do I organise them into folders?

Re: What's the easiest way to stop individual tracks syncing

Well, I have come up with my own workaround for this. I simply use a metadata field that I don't personally care about ("Genre") as switch for this. Basically every track in my entire library has it's Genre set to something, but I leave the Genre field blank on the duplicate tracks. Then, in the Lib...

Re: What's the easiest way to stop individual tracks syncing

Hmmm, this does appear to be something iTunes can do which MediaMonkey can't, in that case! :x

What's the easiest way to stop individual tracks syncing?

Hi, I am using Mediamonkey 4 with my Sony ZX100 walkman, and it's all going pretty smoothly. I have a few tracks in my library that are duplicates - for example, when a compilation CD includes tracks that I already had on an original album. For completeness sake, I have ripped all these tracks onto ...

Re: MediaMonkey keeps adding a directory back into my librar

Are you using iTunes anymore or are you just maintaining an iTunes library in a folder? I actually am still using iTunes, simply for ripping CDs in the first place, because of two meta-data things MediaMonkey does not yet support, but iTunes does: - custom sort orders (for Albums, Artists, Composer...
