Re: Certain song settings available in iTunes

Not sure what you mean by 'skip during random play'... This is a feature in iTunes that you can apply to a track so that when you have your iPod set to shuffle all of your songs, it WON'T play that song. For example, I apply this setting to live albums, so those tracks won't play when I shuffle all...

I used a Toshiba Gigabeat for quite some time. It worked great for me. The only reason I got rid of it was because I needed more space. WARNING though. If you do get a gigabeat, their software is pretty crappy (the gigabeat forum is actually what led me to MediaMonkey). I only used their program to ...

does anyone here know if the same problem exists when using iTunes? iTunes actually has a nice sorting feature; for each track, next to the name of the album, artist, and song title, there are tags called "Sort Artist", "Sort Album", and "Sort Name". I use this feature...

SpinItAgain is a great program for recording Tapes/LP's. It does a great job of removing most of the clicks & pops from records. Whatever you use though, if you try to remove the "noise" (the hissing) from the music, don't remove too much, or it will sound very compressed.

For me, Custom 1 is called "Volume Leveling", where I type how I leveled the volume; it will either say "MP3 Gain-Track Gain", "MP3 Gain-Album Gain", "Media Monkey", or "Analyzed", meaning that it isn't leveled yet, so I just had Media Monkey analyze...

If you're looking for bad cover versions, I highly reccomend Tina Turner's version of "Proud Mary" by CCR (It's awful).

That's right-I only have the playlist checked. And yes, I am using MM3. Do I have to select the music AND the playlist? Because from what I've read, this puts multiple copies of the same songs on the device.

I would use Media Monkey 3, but all I get when I try to autosynch a playlist is a message saying that my iPod doesn't have enough space, which is BS because I was trying to synch a playlist of about 100 songs, and my 80gb ipod had no music on it, so obviously it DOES have enough space.

I am having this problem also, but I still use Media Monkey 2.5.5.998. I always have to recreate my Magic Nodes.

iTunes changes genre

Hi. I've recently replaced my Toshiba Gigabeat player with an ipod Classic. So far I love it. I am using Media Monkey to organize my music and iTunes to synch my music. So far, everything works fine for me. There is just one small annoying problem. With some songs, iTunes likes to change my genre to...

When I rip my CD's, they go to a folder called "Ripped Music" where they are organized as such: C:\My Music\Ripped Music\<Artist>\<Album>\<Title> I then use MP3 Gain to adjust the volume of the whole album; I compare the sound to "Fortunate Son" by Creedence until the volume seem...

Get Great Artwork Through iTunes

I just wanted to inform some people about a way to get good album art (sometimes 1400x1400) through iTunes. I know there was a website that would convert cover art to jpeg or tiff files for you, but that site has been blocked byApple. What I do now to get the album art is I have an mp3 in my iTunes ...

I use a gigabeat F40, but have not had this problem. Are you saying that your computer is seeing it as an actual hard drive? Because if this is the case, your player is probably connected in "Gigabeat Room Mode" and needs to be connected in "Windows Media Player Mode". To do this...

I hate duplicates. I just always feel that it's a waste of my computer's space to have a bunch of copies of the same song. If I have many actual albums by a band, I just delete the duplicate tracks from the Greatest Hits CD's. If I have several compilations by a certain band, I just decide which cop...
