After peeking at my screen for what seemed like hours, I found the culprit. It is indeed what Bex mentions, a lowercase vs uppercase drive letter that makes the difference between the old and the new name. Could be considered as a small bug... Bug report filed (c; Thanks Bex & Rusty, charlieMOGUL

When renaming, all files are highlighted

Hi, I'm using MM 2.5.4.977 When renaming files using Auto-Organize Files (ctrl-R), all selected files are highlighted - the ones that are going to get renamed, AND the ones that already have the correct name and will not be renamed. In previous versions of MM only the files that actually will have a...

Re: Player display problem

Is this problem sensitive to the layout that you use? e.g. default layout of MM vs. customized layout? Have you modified skinning settings in any way? Hi Rusty, I use all custom settings, even the skin is custom. Digging in my memory I think the weirdness also appears after editing (multiple) track...

I'm using only the stock-plugins that are common to this MediaMonkey release and haven't installed any other plugins. I don't use any visualization plugins.

Hope this helps,

Sorry, my bad. Thanks for explaining the issue.
I can confirm this behaviour as well.

weird scrolling song title

Hi, This seems like an issue I have seen before in some old versions (2.2 ? 2.3 ?) of MediaMonkey. I experience it now with build 2.5.4.975 Sometimes, at random intervals, the scrolling song title in the player doesn't seem to refresh correctly. Then you'll see all kind of texts through each other. ...

Square dragging of the tracks allow multible selections This does work in the Now Playing window, but does *not* work (anymore) in the selection window. Re: Fixed in 2.5.4.974 (RC-1)

fyi, remaining issues have been fixed in the latest 2.5.4 build (available in the beta forum). Rusty, The bug seems to have changed it's nature using 2.5.4.974 RC-1: It seems that you can't select multiple tracks using CTRL+SHIFT anymore. How to reproduce: * Make sure that there are multiple tracks...

Re: Auto-synch list selection problem

Okay, thanks for the tip. I wasn't aware of the fact that (currently) renaming nodes in the tree is different than selecting all the items from that node and renaming all those items. Do I understand correctly from That would avoid this issue for now that this behaviour *will* be the same 'in the fu...

playcounts of iPod zero after rebuilding device database

Hi, I was wondering whether this is a bug or a harmless feature. I'm using MediaMonkey build 2.5.4.971 and an iPod Photo. When rebuilding the complete device database of the iPod, all the playcounts of the songs on the iPod are reset to zero. The playcounts of the songs itself (which reside in the l...

Jiri,

I didn't have the problem using the modified WMDM driver. However, MediaMonkey was painfully slow when an iPod was inserted.
I'll replace the WMDM driver with the old WMDM driver to gain some speed in the detection process. If the problem occurs again I'll let you know.
