Or simply sort the main screen by clicking on the "Type" column. If you can't see the column, right click on the title bar and select from the drop down list.

Although, the methods proposed by Onkel_enno are cleaner.

Yeah, I've come to realise that if you're saving to a file tag, but don't have auto saving turned on, then it wasn't going to work. I suppose on that point, I'd hoped that either 1) MM would overide the setting for this action, or 2) immediately synchronising the highlighted files would save to tag ...

That's what I figured from reading so many other posts, yet I do not experience those solutions :( ie, I do NOT get a dialog box asking whether to link or store in the tag, either with drag and drop, or clicking on "add image" and browsing to the image file. Also, I do not get a tool tip w...

Oh? So I don't need to save the album art to the tag for iPod use? I tried to sync and include art with my brother's Nano with no luck, and assumed the problem stemmed from linking the images. (was using 2.5.1.934).

Re: D&D of Album Art from firefox

Wow--I hadn't realized that firefox supports d&d in this manner. Very cool. btw, this _should_ work in MM. i.e. if you just drop a supported image type into the Album Art pane the 'Add Album Art' dialog should appear. -Rusty hmmm, is there an option to enable that, Rusty? Whenever I d&d an ...

Adding album art to file tag?

Hopefully someone can help me with this - not sure if I'm going mad or simply missed an option somewhere. When adding album art, I can only save it to the file tag if using " auto tag from Amazon ". If adding a jpg file manually, I'm not offered any options as to where I'd like the art sav...

Yeah, I've come to prefer WavPack after hours of reading and testing, but the only thing holding me back from jumping on the bandwagon is MediaMonkey's innability to play the format. I love MM, with only Foobar2000 really competing (in my mind) on the power level. I might just stop transferring any ...

I'd love to see wavpack encoded files become usable in MediaMonkey. After experimenting with some lossy formats, I've come to the conclusion that lossless compression will soon be the next trend in encoder choice. This is bound to be helped by the increase of cheap, large format hard discs. The choi...

Actually, I have the complete opposite desire. I would love the quick development of an ipod shuffle plugin for MM so I can finally get rid of iTunes.

I'm not sure exactly what may be the cause, but I've heard that if you use MM to rip your CD's then the database will list the songs twice (once for the CD and once for the track on your HD). It's this reason MM has a "virtual CD" feature to deal with it. Personally I always use a third pa...

I don't have any AAC files so I've never looked for this input plugin device, sorry. As to the shuffle, I asked the same thing a little while ago and the answer is they're currently working on ipod shuffle compatibility - and supposedly it's fairly high priority. How that translates into a real worl...

My resolution was exactly what previous posters suggested. DFX wants to see winamp, so I gave it winamp... ie: Create new textfile (eg. in directory c:\program files\mediamonkey) Rename text file to winamp.exe Install DFX and browse to this newly created file when asked. The plugin thus installed wi...

Thanks for your very quick reply. I'll be awaiting the update then, and will continue to use MM for everything but syncing as the program is by far my fave. I only have a modest catalogue of 8000 songs, but I love the organisational & tagging features MM provides. Thanks again. I thought I must ...
