File Monitor would save you the hassle of rescanning your entire directory everytime you add tracks (or even modify them externally).

I've started working on the wishlist based off the original wishlist thread. I had intended to extend this by going through the rest of the forum, but haven't had time. Not sure who started the wiki, but thanks. Anyone is more than welcome to help out.

Couple more bugs

1. File Monitor doesn't appear to discover new mp3's on Vista.

2. Auto-tag from Amazon, but don't have all of the boxes check. Press tag. Add an additional field...you can't tag again to include the field. YOu have to exit and start over.

I agree that this would be very cool script to have because it's the 1 piece of information that is not stored in the tracks. For example I rescanned my music for MM3. All of my tag info was still there but of course all my playcounts are now zero. I'd love to be able to pull that data down from las...

I use Date to hold the release date and original year to hold the original release year. So for greatest hits, the album release is in the release date, but each tracks original date is in the original year field. Similarly with live compilations, the performance date goes in the original year if di...

Tagging and Searching

1. I was going to put producers in the conductor field, but 1) it does not appear any where in the track properties box and 2) it does not save modifications from the list view. 2. There are still fields that cannot be seen in the list view (such as Involved People) 3. Album art with .m4a files acts...

As I mentioned before I believe the comment problem is more than just leveling. Browsing by the comments column (very cool) I've seen custom fields (either 1 or 2-I don't use 3) and quality in the comment field as well. A couple of other tagging issues: 1. You can't modify "Disc #" in the column vie...

Let me start with saying I'm very impressed with MM3. The feature list is impressive and the stability for alpha software of a major version revision is extremely good. Huge additions with podcast, album art browsing, aac, and multi-artist/genre capabilities. A few bugs so far: 1. Appears to be note...

0714 Added support for multiple Genres, Artists, Albums, CDs

I haven't quite figuered out how this is done.
Anyone's got a hint for me?

The display looks a little odd in the now playing window, but try a semicolon between the artist names. Not the ideal UI solution, but it'll get the job done.

If all of the tracks have the same ALBUM ARTIST then they should be grouped together in the album node Correct, but what if I want to see all of my compilation albums? Maybe the album names won't be together under the album node, but they logically go together. There is value in having a node speci...

You can do it with Magic Nodes, by creating a node for Album Artist. I agree it would be nice to have a special node for 'Various' and 'Compilation' though.

That's true ... 5 stars with half star increment and "bomb" for highest rating
I guess it's personal preference, but I think bomb is the lowest. It's like a zero, which is different than no rating.

I've 'upgraded" (?) from XP to Vista Business, and MM 2.5.5 won't make nice!
I'm having problems as well. I'm actually getting a blue screen whenever MM tries to play a song....how is that even possible? Can't wait for MM 3.
