Re: GQN-249754 - MM 4 .0.6 maxes out CPU

I wonder if it has something to do with the change so there is no longer a limit to how much memory MM can use. Details at: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=9326 To confirm you could use this tool: http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php so that the current MM version is limited again to o...

Re: GQN-249754 - MM 4 .0.6 maxes out CPU

Same thing this morning as always with 4.0.6.1501, started up, maxed out CPU, was unresponsive while I attempted to change views in the tree, then finally generated a problem report which was sent (did so previously, but failed to send, I thought it was another problem with 4.0.6). Reverted back to ...

Re: Version 4.0.6.1501 un-responsive at first use.

Similar to mine reported earlier. 4.0.6 is generally unresponsive at runtime and even locks up if I try to change my view in the tree (it sent a problem report this morning before crashing). http://mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=66863 If you install Sysinternals Process Manager (it's to T...

Re: GQN-249754 - MM 4 .0.6 maxes out CPU

Currently, there's about 64KB in w:\mp3\src. There's about 3.19GB in w:\mp3\podcasts\ (stored locally due to significant churn), only This American Life podcasts are moved by AutoOrganize to \\192.168.1.11\share$\mp3\thisamericanlife\ . The only other file monitor is for \\192.168.1.11\share$\mp3\sr...

GQN-249754 - MM 4 .0.6 maxes out CPU

Environment: Win XP Pro SP3, bulk of music library on NAS share, podcasts locally stored, temporary music library locally stored. MM version 4.0.6.1501 Immediately upon updating to 4.0.6, I noticed MM running very very slowly. Systinternals Process Explorer indicates its maxing out the CPU at or abo...

[from other bug]No Need for duplicates viewtopic.php?f=7&t=66798 As a software QA engineer, I can assure you that the other bug is NOT a duplicate. It's a different functionality. Separate reports allow a development lead to assign the bugs to different coders for resolution. The other bug is a val...

Re: Going for Gold: The Dilemma -V4 only, or Lifetime?

Depending on how you paid, your V3 Gold license # should be on file with Ventis, or in a payment receipt, or in the Help About or settings of Mediamonkey (I seem to recall it's displayed). I keep those things on a NAS with escrowed installers and config files, as well as LastPass (which is superb, a...

<Added> field mask now inserts "Today" not date [#9285]

I had auto-organize rules that utilized the <Added> field mask to differentiate between different copies of the same podcast. In 3.x, it inserted the full date, e.g. "3/19/2012 14:52" but now it's adding "Today 14:52" when the rule is run on a file downloaded today. How can I force the <Added> field...

Re: MM4 4.0.1.1461: Export playlist awful format

Ah, excellent, another welcome add-in from one of my favorite add-in authors.

Lowlander, thanks, I'm surprised that some devices can't support a format that my 1999 PocketPC and 2005 Nokia 6600 phone play without issue. But, ah well, there's always some device that's got to spoil the party. Thanks.

MM4 4.0.1.1461: Export playlist awful format

Re: Please explain the 'leveling' concept and its implicatio

"Analyze album volume" adds another value into the volume leveling field that sets the proper playback leveling adjustment for the whole album. Not all players support this. Here's an example. The iPod "SoundCheck" feature only reads the track leveling adjustment, so during playback, one album track...

Re: Lyricator v1.1.1 #31 (2010-12-16)

IOWs appending the results of 2nd search to the results of a previous search, not overwriting . Very interesting idea. Perhaps an option that loads the existing content of LYRICS tag for the track under search, then appending the new lyrics found to it, then $user can right-click and edit them toge...

Re: Lyricator v1.1.1 #31 (2010-12-16)

3) I meant for those sources which are already coded - to be able to choose or combine these sources. 3) That's already in the lyricator options, unless I'm misunderstanding you. OH! I suspect OP means concatenating lyrics from two sources . IOWs appending the results of 2nd search to the results o...
