Re: Genre Finder 5.0 - Updated 05/08/2012

Yes the script should parse the main genre list; if a match is found, the matched genre will be the main one (leftmost). Then, parse the subgenre list; multiple match can occurr here. Did you see the screenshot in the documentation? The author has allowed a maximum number of matches configurability ...

Re: Genre Finder 5.0 - Updated 05/08/2012

1) From Last.Fm, how would the main genre be determined? The most popular one? 2) I'm not sure how this affects the script, but based on the assumption above (the most popular one is the main one) then this is already how the script works, as it processes the results in descending order of populari...

Re: Genre Finder 5.0 - Updated 05/08/2012

Is there some specific functionality you want adding to this script, or do you just want me to re-write it like someone else's? Well, it would be great to add: - optional: main genre grouping (custom tag) - within multiple genres, the leftmost value is the main genre, the subsequent genres, are sub...

Re: ReplyGain anyone?

MM Analyze Volume is the same as ReplayGain. You don't need any additional tool.
As I've said, using semi-standard tags will allow replaygain usage across multiple players

To achieve this, I should:
- run your script looking for duplicates (title and artist)
- your script return pairs of duplicated tracks
- inspect each pair, transferring special data and playlists accordingly

Re: Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix 3.8.1 (2012-11-10)

When I replace old files with new rips I do like this: 1. Rip the new track, I don't care about their tags. (I do this per album) 2. Add them to MM's library if they are not there. 3. Locate the old files. 4. Make sure that the old track and the new tracks are in exact same order. 5. Copy metadata ...
