Re: MM will not grey-out/remove deleted tracks from disk

Then if the location where the removed files reside is scanned the Locate Moved/Missing Files should popup. Folder Monitoring if enabled would automatically remove the unavailable files (as long as the drive where the files reside is accessible by MediaMonkey). Usually MM would propmpt for missing ...

Re: ReplyGain anyone?

I use Analyze Volume in MediaMonkey and use per Track on playback (as I mostly play random tracks). On sync I use the Analyze Volume values for iOS devices (Sound Check) and Level Volume for any other devices as well as level volume for DLNA clients. This has worked very well for me (always use 89d...

Re: ReplyGain anyone?

Actually I was thinking to run a script to update each track in the library so each one will hold a new tag (replygain) using tools (like foobar or similar)

ReplyGain anyone?

Is anybody here using reaplyGain ? I don't like very much volume going up and down on track change, however I was wondering if there are some drawbacks when using replygain such as clipping, distorion or?
What software do you use to apply the replygain?
By album, by library?

Thanks

Re: Genre Finder 5.0 - Updated 05/08/2012

I see MusicBrainz last.fm plus plugin using this approach . A custom tag ("Grouping") containing the main genre (not necessary IMO, but could be handy for future use) and the classic "Genre" tag holding multiple values; here the user is given an opportunity to stick the main genre as the leftmost v...

Re: MM will not grey-out/remove deleted tracks from disk

I see that the deleted tracks appear in the "Files to edit"->Dead Links, So MM correctly understands the tracks have been removed. Did it change behaviour since 4.0.7? Once it used to grey one missing tracks, or prompting to delete missing tracks upon library update/rescan....

MM will not grey-out/remove deleted tracks from disk

- I have deleted some tracks from the file system
- I have rescanned the library within MM
- the deleted tracks still appear in the track list (black colour as if existing)
- on playback only, the missing tracks will be greyed-out

Re: Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix 3.8.1 (2012-11-10)

Well the new tracks are always properly tagged. I'd have to plan a proper strategy to minimize efforts swapping newer versions: delete older tracks before loading the newer copies? Or keep them, so they can be used as an outline to follow? For example, lately I have refreshed some 800+ tracks in the...

Re: Skip identical files on sync

Not working as expected.... - MM 4.0.7 (latest) - destination: G\MUSIC - foldername rules: "\Music\<Path:6>" (both classical and music folders) - Deleted G:\MUSIC contents and started from scratch - Once finished I have tried a few times to sync again; MM will show in the status bar "preparing the f...

Re: Advanced Duplicate Find & Fix 3.8.1 (2012-11-10)

Before reading the whole pot, I was wondering if this script can help the following problem: When updating some tracks in the library, from older to newer versions, often the newer tracks may have changed the file name; problem because if the track is part of a playlist a tedious ticking task will o...
