Re: Tool for display setup - also recovery after db corrupti

This morning when I started MMW it inexplicably opened the DB and started up. Took over two minutes of thrashing my SSD C: drive at 100% before anything appeared on the screen. Then it was "reading files" slowly in tiny blocks of 100-200. Took 12 minutes for MMW to become fully usable. C: drive acti...

Re: Tool for display setup - also recovery after db corrupti

I was doing a wi-fi sync and I inadvertently closed MMW. No warning message appeared as I did. A bit later I noticed MMA said incomplete or failed sync. When I tried to reopen MMW, I got the message the DB was unopenable. This kind of human activity should be adequately protected by code. It's not l...

Re: Tool for display setup - also recovery after db corrupti

My database file is 514 MB for ~160,000 songs.

When I opened the folder with MM.DB, today it contains a file called MM.DB-journal. This file has never been there before. It is 0 KB.

Re: Tool for display setup - also recovery after db corrupti

I am using the full current version. And today I just received the message that the database could not be opened. So I'm faced with a rebuild again. This time I have a month old backup of the database and current backups of my playlists, so it will be less painful. I haven't started the restoration ...

More powerful playlist tools (nesting, export, import...)

Playlists are crucial to the my use of MediaMonkey both on the PC and on Android. I wish there were better tools for playlists. I limp along with the present capabilities until mm.db takes it's roughly annual crap and corrupts. When forced to do a recovery, I'm fuming as I laboriously prepare by bac...

Tool for display setup - also recovery after db corruption

I wish there was a way to standardize the arrangement of columns for all libraries and playlists. I use the same configuration on everything and wish I could fix it outside the database. Just had to do my third recovery from a corrupted database by deleting mm.db (happens about once a year). Despite...

Re: Rip CD on Win 10 hangs MMW indefinitely

This problem disappeared a while back. I don't know why. Last night Win 10 did a massive update. Windows took forever to come up afterward. Now MMW locks up tight when I click that folder. Performance monitor shows no anomalous activity on drives or CPU. Last lockup brought the "what were you doing ...

deleting playlists on MMA

How can I delete playlists within MMA (1.2.0.0608)?

After a database crash in MMW (4.1.3.1801), restoration of mm.db, and importing my playlists from backup files, MMA is loaded with duplicate playlists that I can't remove via sync and I can't find an option in MMA to delete them.

Re: Sync operations now impossible with my Note 3

After recovering MMW from a database crash, my Note 3 now reliably connects and a number of niggling little oddities went away. I don't know if that is cause and effect, but I am happy to be back in proper operation.

Re: Adding 2 disks corrupts database and can't be fixed

The message preventing me from clearing the database is: There was a problem querying the database: Error executing SQL statement "DELETE FROM SongsText ":database disk image is malformed (11, 11) All the music is present and searchable but without my playlists, doing my weekly radio show will be mu...

Re: Sync operations now impossible with my Note 3

Well the complete absence of any replies tells me the USB sync feature is no longer supported. Maybe you should just be up front about it?

You successfully forced me to go the excruciating slow wi-fi sync. Seems to work well, but don't like waiting 30+ minutes to do my more than weekly syncs.

Adding 2 disks corrupts database and can't be fixed

I tried to add two albums to MMW 4.1.13.1801 and received this message: There was a problem querying the database: Could not retrieve data "SELECT * FROM Songs WHERE Songs.Date.Added>42552.2083333333 ORDER BY Songs.DateAdded DESC ":database disk image is malformed (11,11) Followed instruction found ...
