Re: Filter out tracks using Auto Playlist

Did you try Property=Comment, Condition = doesn't contain, Value = wife's name? This works for me (using a different value, of course).

Why did you complicate Add/Rescan

Why did you decide to make the Add/Rescan process so much more complex and unwieldy in MM5? When I rip a cd (I don't use MM to do so) or download tracks, I do so to a folder called Copy to Here. That makes it easy for me to find the new tracks. To add them to MM4 here is all I have to do: 1. Click o...

Re: Unable to cast audio [#15477]

All it took was a simple re-boot to get MM5 to play to my Audio Chromecast. It also plays through the Chromecast Ultra on my TV with a display of the album cover, the album title, album artist and track name. Is it possible to get MM5 to display lyrics on the TV if the track has them? I also think i...

Re: Best way to send MMonkey to stereo? (Wireless? Bluetooth?)

Bluetooth can result in diminished audio quality, especially if the source is lossless. Audio Chromecast may not be produced any longer, but is hardly dead. There are many sources - just check on eBay. It works well and handles hi-res audio files much better than Bluetooth. Unfortunately, MM4 does n...

MM4 does not support Chromecast, though MM5 is supposed to.

Re: Greyed tracks after changing file path slightly

You say you didn't move the files, just "slightly" renamed them by changing folder names. MM4 - and any other program you might use - will think you moved them, because you gave them a new address (and didn't tell MM that you did so). All the people replying to you are telling you that the first ste...

I also get MM5 showing my Chromecast Ultra (connected to a TV) but not my Chromecast Audio. I did send in a ticket, but have heard nothing from it.

Re: and where is the option to choose another player?

MM5 finds my two Sonos units but doesn't find my Chromecast Audio or my Chromecast Ultra. roon - which is on the same machine - finds and plays to the two Chromecast units. Why doesn't MM5 find the Chromecasts?

Re: the Now Playing box no longer displays a picture.

I'm guessing that what you are calling the Now Playing box is what MM calls Art & Details (one of the options at the top of this otherwise unlabeled frame is Now Playing). In MM terms the Now Playing box IS a list of tracks to be played. Go to View on the menu and make sure that Art & Details is che...

Re: Recently Added Content

E.g. playlist 'Added 2019-02-15 22:45' should appear higher in the list than 'Added 2018-01-04 21:00'. I don't think this would be possible because the playlist tree is sorted alphabetically and not by date. It isn't even possible to drag the playlists to the order that you want. Do you mean to tel...

Re: Recently Added Content

It's not an autoplaylist in my version (1882) and has not been in any of many previous versions I have used. 1) Autoplaylists have a differently coloured arrow and Recently Added Content has the same colour as ordinary playlists. 2) Right-clicking on it does not bring up the option Edit AutoPlaylist...

Recently Added Content

Is there some reason why this playlist always orders the dates from oldest to newest? Wouldn't be more useful if the dates were ordered newest to oldest? Can't this be fixed?

Re: concatenate titles

Is the album artist the same for all three? Are the disc numbers filled in - correctly? An album is defined by all tracks having the same title and album artist.

Re: RECENTLY ADDED / NEW RELEASES (Album listing)

To me the easiest way to find Recently Added content is to use the playlist cleverly named by the MediaMonkey people as Recently Added Content which I believe comes already installed. (Playlists > Recently Added Content > scroll down to the appropriate date). The only problem I have with this - I us...

Re: How Do You Remove Disc Number?

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Having all the discs in a set appear when I choose one is just what I do want. Many of the muitiple disc sets in my collection have a composition that will not fit on one disc (a number of Mahler symphonies, for example, as well as almost all operas). Until MM5 has a w...
