[REQ] view playlists by artists (/albums)

Hi guys, first of all thanks for the good work on the android version. Besides the bug (empty playlists) that we've all been working on for a few months now, its great to use the complexity of mediamonkey on my android device. Anyway, my need is as follow. On MMW, I tag all my songs with stars, 1.5,...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Yeah same here. I could get by with 32GB probably, but this phone is only 16GB, and now that I am used to having a 64GB card it would be tough to go back (I carry similar stuff, plus some game roms). Used to have an ipod 'classic', so I'm used to having ridiculous amounts of storage. :D hehe same s...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Ah cool, thanks for the reply. How is that new phone by the way? I love the stylus on my Note so don't want to give it up, but I have this urge to try out other phones lately... Moto G is awesome, makes me wanna throw my s3 in the trash honestly, but it lacks a SD slot, which is fundamental to me a...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Personnally i broke my s3 and i'm on a Moto G since 1 week So far ratings (and songs obviously) have been sync'd properly, i can see it since rating some songs on my device removes them from the (dynamic) playlists based on ratings on MMW and then removes them from the device I haven't checked the p...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Great job! I hope it'll fix it for good..

Doesn't surprise me that the mounting / unmounting of the SD card is involved as it is a complex thing to deal with a removable storage in all applications.

Now wait & see!

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

If i rate things from the phone, modify metadata or modify playlists, yes they update on the computer correctly (even though i do it mostly for rating, i don't do the playlist/metadata modifications in that direction, generally from the computer)

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Immediately after sync'ing, i had everything (playlists fully populated)

about 24 hours later, without sync or reboot, i had empty playlists.

It's not surprising to me as i've seen it happen before..

On which device are you trying to replicate it ? A GS3? or something else ?

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

On my side : (starting from my last post) So i have empty playlists after reboot, i then : - sync again (MMA syncs by matching files existing on the phone with files in the playlists if i understand correctly) - all playlists are populated and working, - 2 days later, i open MMA (no reboot inbetween...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

Day 1 : - wifi synced my DB in the morning, - rated tracks during the day, - came home, wifi synced (btw the speed of the new sync is amazing, thank god or rather the devs for that upgrade) - went to bed Day 2 : - in the morning, rebooted my phone - a couple of hours later, opened MMA, all playlists...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

So about my thing : - i don't get empty playlists as much lately, if not at all. But i don't reboot my phone often either, - just today i lost all rating done during the day on 1.0.4.0189 ie: * yesterday night i sync'd my phone as usual with MMW, * put it in plane mode, went to sleep and today i tag...

Re: Empty Playlists after reboot (Galaxy Note 2) [#11298]

What a shame, i was beginning to think this was gone for good and there it is, back again. I'm on MMA 1.0.4.0185, and i just got the bug again, all my playlists are empty. It seems to me that it is definitely something happening on the device independantly of MMW but thats hard to prove with facts....

Re: WiFi shouldn't be needed for Wifi Sync if using VPN [#10

On build 182, it asks for wifi whenever i want to sync or UPNP or select a sync server even though i'm connected through VPN to my home network with my computer and MMW open

am i missing something ?
