Any Media Monkey-Friendly Apps Such As PulpTunes?

I'm looking for a way to be able to listen to my music collection while on another computer in another location (office, parents' house, friends' houses, etc.). I recently discovered PulpTunes, but it only (apparently) allows remote access through iTunes. I'm a little wary of downloading iTunes beca...

Monkey Going Crazy

When I loaded up MM this morning, all the songs currently in the explorer window started shifting to one-another. What I mean, is that it automatically started to play a song, as the program was loading, and then 3 seconds later skip to another song for 3 seconds, then skip to another song for 3 sec...

Re: Auto-Organize Function No Longer Auto-Organizing

Oops! Nevermind...I got it figured out, now!

It seems many of my MM settings have gone awry, and I don't know why.

Hmm...I'm not sure. I used to know what "mask" meant, but I've since forgotten.

Please explain!

Thanks.

Auto-Organize Function No Longer Auto-Organizing

So I've got my "My Music" folder neatly arranged with sub-folders in alphabetical order: A, B, C, D, E, etc. Within these letter-specific folders are Artist names. In the "D" folder I have "Deep Purple". I downloaded a torrent called The Complete Deep Purple Discography, which has sub-folders for ea...

Re: Album Art Tagging Not Taking

What settings do you have in Options for Album Art? Open Options and look on Library, do you have Scan track directory for Album Art checked or not? Under Tags & Playlists, what do you have chosen for Image location and Image filename? Now when you right click on the album art and choose properties...

Album Art Tagging Not Taking

I've been trying to tag various audio files with their respective album art. But when I play the files they show up with the wrong album art. Consistently, it's been Voivod's Infini album cover. http://elsercho.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/voivod_new.jpg I don't know why this is. I've even tried t...

Adding Randomized Track Numbers To Random Albums/Playlists?

I've recently downloaded certain music folders via Soulseek. Some of these folders have names such as "VA - The Golden Age Of Post-Punk" (actually that's one of the albums). Turns out, it's a random series of Post-Punk singles and files from various albums. I'll be using MediaMonkey to rename the al...

Checking Duplicate Files Between Specific Folders?

I have two separate folders: "1000 Classic Rock Hits" and "Top 1000 Classic Rock Songs Of All Time" (yeah, yeah, I know... overkill :) ). No doubt, there's a lot of overlap there. How can I scan just those two folders to identify the duplicated songs so I can get rid of them? (And yes, I'm aware tha...

Re: MediaMonkey Through The Context Menu?

Okay, but shouldn't there be?

I mean, in a future version it may be something the MM developers might want to think about.

MediaMonkey Through The Context Menu?

Is there no way to access MM functions through the Context Menu?

I think it would be great if we could, say..."Tag With MediaMonkey", including Album Art, just by right-clicking on a song file.

Re: Bulk Tag Editing With Different Values?

Well, it seems the solution was much simpler than I had made it out to be (albeit, a bit more time-consuming): I first tagged the song titles using Trixmoto's Music Ip script. I then grouped all the files in MediaMonkey by Filename. Since the album name (ie. "CD 1", "CD 2", etc.) were part of the fi...

Re: Bulk Tag Editing With Different Values?

I think you're out of luck on the album names. The auto tag from filename can't parse what isn't there: i.e. your file name is: 1000 classic rock hits cd 12 - 19 - spencer davis group - gimme some lovin so the best you'll be able to do is: <Album> - <Track#> - <Artist> - <Title> Doing that you shou...

Re: Bulk Tag Editing With Different Values?

Sorry to be such a pill... but that didn't work. The album name is still the one that was tagged from the web. So while the filename reads "1000 classic rock hits cd 05 - 16 - aerosmith - rag doll.mp3" and the Artist and Track Title fields are correctly filled, the Album field reads, "Big Ones" (ie....
