Re: Backup 5.8 - Updated 27/10/2010
Yes. Summary: http://i.imgur.com/ccEdO.png http://i41.tinypic.com/10miueo.png The only things that don't get copied are: the Plugins, Scripts and Skins folders (within AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey). After the Backup script error, nothing happens when I click the Backup icon - until I reboot MediaMonk...

Re: Error when including AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey
Oh, well. Thanks for thinking about it. It's strange isn't it. As I said: ... all that gets copied from AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey are: the Extensions folder the MetadataCache folder Extensions.ini MediaMonkey.ini mediamonkey.m3u8 MM.DB But a better way of saying it is that the only things that don...

Error when including AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey
I've just started backing up in MM4. It's a clean new install on Windows 7 64-bit. My settings are almost the same as Nyn's above a few posts except that I'm backing up my Scripts folder. If I don't choose the "Other folder" (i.e. AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey) it works fine. But when I do c...

Disc#/Season -- Track#/Episode ... could they be combined?
'Disc number' for music and 'season' for video seem to be perfect candidate to combine - so Disc# would effectively be the same field as Season. (same for Track# and Episode.) The column headings would be different depending what collection node you are viewing (if that's possible, I don't know) but...

Re: Auto organise is moving my Music Videos
Yeah. Music videos are included in the Music collection by default (even though Music Video has its own collection and tree node). So by selecting Music as your criteria, you are also selecting music videos. One thing you can do is to take music videos out of your Music collection.... Right-click Mu...

Re: Question on Collections.
Thanks for the clear explanation.
I actually like it the way it is - especially as when the videos play they just open up in that 'preview' window; it doesn't interfere with anything. I was just confused why I had more tracks in my Collections than in my entire library.

Re: Question on Collections.
Scratch that. I've got 11 more songs in my Collections than are in my Entire Library. When I scanned in my tracks (I've only done music so far), I realized that I had some .mp4 music videos in my music folder - and MM had allocated them to my Music collection. So I changed their Type to Music Video....

Re: Question on Collections.
I'm no expert, they will be along shortly I'm sure - so be careful taking my advice! However... MM4 comes with a Classical Music collection by default. When you scan in your files, It looks for a genre like "Classical" (I don't know the full rule-set) and it automatically puts those files ...

Re: Do we still need to install the MediaMonkey Codec Pack?
Aaaagh, I see.
Well if Ventis is selling it, I better not ask for recommendations on a good free alternative!
I'm sure I'll be fine.
Thanks, Lowlander.

Does auto-organize move subfolders (e.g. with album art in)?
I know that MediaMonkey already moves files if you empty a folder during auto-organize, but presumably it won't move the files that are in a subfolder? I've no idea, sorry. I've definitely got some folders that have sub-folders (eg. "Covers") in them. I'm planning on doing a big auto-orga...

Re: Do we still need to install the MediaMonkey Codec Pack?
Thanks, nohitter151. Yeah, I do want to handle video. As you know, all through the betas we had this to go with the latest release: "To test video encoding functionality (for formats other than WMV) or to play video formats that aren't working on your machine, you can install the MediaMonkey Co...
