Re: Clearing tag fields?
RegExp F&R is the kind of script that I couldn't begin to write (the authors contributions here are profound!), but its so oriented toward being of assistance to everyone, that for very repetitive or specific needs I have, I have found I prefer to learn the code needed to craft something that d...

Re: Clearing tag fields?
I offer the jaikoz sales pitch more in a general sense, because I have gratitude and repect for this forums contributors, and I think its a favor to let folks know Jaikoz is out there. I always see mp3tag mentioned, but I don't think its even close which is better. But, specifically, yes - drag a fo...

Re: Clearing tag fields?
Two programs I always rave about for music management; MediaMonkey & JAIKOZ. For bulk tag manipulation , Jaikoz is the right tool for the Job. And I mean a powertool. Its not free, but its one of those programs I have always been glad I invested in. Going back and forth between Jaikoz and Mediam...

I feel like my dog drooling while I make a peanut butter sandwich; I am salivating at the hints of a new, shiny, fortified MediaMonkey5 !!!

Re: Bug...or My Ignorance with TRACK VOLUME?
What's weird - is that any analyzed value in any file of mine would be from a recent use of MEDIAMONKEY (and only Mediamonkey). So, why are lots of files that have previously entered values getting re-analyzed?? I am only now experimenting with adjustment of these values so I don't see where I would...

Re: Bug...or My Ignorance with TRACK VOLUME?
Ahhhh, that is the question I was left wanting an answer to - thank you sir. IS THERE ANY WAY TO TURN OFF THE ALBUM ANALYSIS REQUIREMENT? (If a analyzed/then tweaked file is moved to another MediaMonkey install, the new location will want to re-analyze and thus lose the tweaked value, right?) As for...

Re: Customize the Properties dialog?
Well, perhaps its just some communication breakdown, but the quoted statement was that it HAD been added. I can hope, anyway, right. Funny, in the other mentioned thread ZvezdanD describes how he would just script a new panel but doesn't want to bother if its in the pipeline - that is exactly where ...

Customize the Properties dialog?
I Happened to see in an old thread ("Writing new ID3 Tags [#6218]") http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=63750 where ZvezdanD wrote "MM4 already has added an option for scripters to customize the Properties dialog." I haven't seen details about this in any other threa...

Bug...or My Ignorance with TRACK VOLUME?
If I enter a +/- DB value into the main window for an analyzed volume value, (and have selected OPTIONS:dont analyze for files with known values), the file will still be analyzed as if there is no value. Why must a FORMAL analyze be done? Is there a DB entry that's just a "flag" for comple...

Re: STARTUP ERROR MSG: Problem...Unknown Protocol
GOT IT, GOT IT, GOT IT thanks for trying to help, friends. Issue was NOT in fact MediaMonkey; but related to a hardware/keyboard key (cherry programmable keyboard). The keys can be assigned to launch a program but the MM key had the name MediaMonkey mistakenly filled in for a COMMAND LINE PARAMETER ...

very first thing I do with every SW install ever is turn off all phonehome/autoupdates features. Almost religious about that.

Re: STARTUP ERROR MSG: Problem...Unknown Protocol
I agree, this screams DATASBASE error; but as I detailed, I have already swapped an absolutely cleansed older database with no effect. I think I will explore again with some SQL tool to see if there's still SOMETHING being injected into any database I steer to. The other bizarre thing about a PODCAS...

Re: Free VBS script editor
A challenging bug I ran into with this program and should point out: the FORMAT ENTIRE SCRIPT button is very useful. When working in VBS in ASE ver3.5 it did, however, add a space after a "&" if one defined a color as "color = &ffffff" - thus breaking that code. I learned...

Free VBS script editor
Just a heads up; Admin Script Editor is a program that WAS rather expensive, had some bugs, but which I found EXTREMELY helpful for script efforts. Apparently the company couldn't sustain the effort and has recently offered the program for FREE. Its definitely worth THAT price!!!!! I'll try putting ...
