Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
I believe the author of the plugin has stated that in the process of upgrading the plugin and from MM3 to MM4 it will be necessary to nuke the whole iTunes library and resync everything. After "the incident," I deleted the few items that were in my iTunes library and all the playlists and...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes plugin (d_itunes4.dll)
So I upgraded to the latest MM and latest version of the plugin, did some playlist management (deleting and adding items - added a playlist), made sure my auto-sync settings were set to the right playlists and let it rip. It asked me if I was sure I wanted to delete items no longer in playlists and ...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)
If the sync worked, you'd see the items in your actual iTunes library as well as in MM (under the iTunes device tree view). Hi Frankz, Appreciate the response. Problem is that somewhere I have got the plugin configured wrong and I just can't find the source of the problem. If I use the MM inbuilt m...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)
Clicked the 'Send to Portable Device' button, got a brief green bar in the status line telling me MM was syncrhronizing to iTunes but on chceking found nothing in either M:\MediaMonkey_TempFiles nor M:\iTunesData. If the sync worked, you'd see the items in your actual iTunes library as well as in M...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)

Waitiiiiing From the first page of this thread from Mark: Once tracks and playlists are synchronised into iTunes then iTunes can be used to synchronise to any iTu...

Re: IPhone OS4 Fix Date????
A foobar2000 plug-in named foo_dop had iOS4 compatibility last week. Not the iPhone4 hardware, but iOS4 on other devices:

Maybe MM will catch up soon? I really am not a fan of foobar2000.

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)
Is it possible to get all playlists from MediaMonkey in the root of the playlists in the iOS4 iPod App and not under the root-Folder <MM>? I simply want to access my playlists directly without the new tap to <MM>? Right-click "iTunes" select "Configure Device," "Device Conf...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)
I configured the current version of device plugin, read the operation notes and started syncing. MM is trying to determine what to sync, the process start and reaches 100% in an instant. But the itunes music library stays as empty as before. Does anyone have an idea what am I missing? Where did it ...

Re: iTunes 9.2 - MM compatibility (Status: requires 3.2.1+ )
I think you mistook "closed source" as a slam. It wasn't. Just a method of differentiation. "Open source" isn't synonymous with "great" just like "closed source" isn't synonymous with "awful." I think you mistook me for a MM basher, as well. I'm not....

Re: iTunes 9.2 - MM compatibility (Status: requires 3.2.1+ )
The open source community jailbroke iOS4 within hours of its release. Hopefully that bodes well for the closed source community.Lowlander wrote:That depends on how difficult Apple made it, so even past updates aren't an indication.

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)
FYI - the update didn't correct the issue with iTunes reading tag information from files rather than MM library information upon sync, so I just took the files I was using from the DVD-R, stuck them on a writable thumb drive, made the tags nice and pretty and used them that way. Problem solved for m...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)
Played data is only stored in the database and thus only works for tracks that are in the database. These tracks are in the database as shown in the picture examples above. Syncing play counts and last played shouldn't care that the files are not writable because it never touches the files, but it ...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)
@Frankz: I've also noticed that the "last played" information, while it appears correctly in iTunes as taken from the iPod, doesn't make it back to the MM library for items stored on DVD-R. This works fine for items stored on the hard drive, too. I'm not sure that I understand this statem...

Re: MediaMonkey iTunes device plugin (d_itunes.dll)
OK, so I took the plunge and switched from direct sync in MM to sync via iTunes with this plug in. Good work. One minor issue: I have a number of mp3s on a DVD-R. The tags on the files aren't great, but I did extensive work on the library information in MM so all the info in MM is correct. When I s...
