Re: Win7 Libraries

Hi, Nova5, MM keeps its own database, with much more info than what the "Music Library" does, as far as I know. So, no, MM does not support the "Music Library". Correct me if I am wrong, isn't the "Music Library" stuff just a special folder? Regards. Its more than just...

Re: Missing Username, have license key

try adding "-1" to the end of your username.

For some reason mine had that thou i never do that to a username i've used so their system did that for some bizarre reason. your username is your email registered with the purchase.

Windows RDCP breaks MM.

Something i've run into for awhile and never gotten time to come here and post about is MM doesn't seem to handle a Remote Desktop Connection well. Using XP or Vistas built in RD connection and running MM all files appear as Grey (inaccessable) Even when the path to the MP3 is a Network Path and not...

Win7 Libraries

Will MM be updated to handle the Libraries function of windows 7? It doesn't seem to handle it now.

Re: Convert mapped drive to UNC

Moving things about on a server is a great benefit of a UNC share name. The client won't care if the server moved it from D:\Music to t:\Datashare\Auditory\Music It only ever sees \\Server\Music. never knows it moved, and never gives the monkey heartburn. If you have a mapped drive the only problem ...

I haven't seen any yet that beat the one WMP threw at me around 5 years ago.

Re: Two simple, yet sorely needed, usability features.

Another option instead of Double Click executing Play Now on the full album, would be a play button next to each album. this would allow a doubleclick to open the album but always available for immediate use would be the play button. Songs wouldn't need it as Double Click on songs is configured by o...

Re: Home Theatre Display

Even neater would be a plugin for XBMC or Windows Media Center that uses MM's backend and database with the GUI of these apps. MM is REALLY fast compared with any of these applications (I'm only talking about my experience with 30,000 tracks). Sadley they don't seem to be interested in doing that. ...

Re: Home Theatre Display

Ideally, a "10 foot display" skin is what's needed. I have the same problem. I've tweaked fonts and removed unnecessary windows and toolbars, but MM is still not quite right for an LCD TV and a sofa. Unfortunately I have no graphics and coding skills to make my own skin. Home theatres hav...

Re: skipping defined sections of a song.

directcut (which was recommend a few minutes ago my someone else on another forum) is a good solution. clips out the section of the file with a recompression stage needed. MM doesn't need a internal solution to this, we don't need this to turn into a full blown editor as well as library app. just a ...

Re: skipping defined sections of a song.

thats what i want, but a mashup script would work against a single song as well i suspect. Either way it looks like i am just stuck with the edit of the song. I'll look into those. thanks.

Re: skipping defined sections of a song.

Audacity won't do it. it reencodes, thats the step I'm trying to avoid. I didnt know if there was a script for playing certian sections of a song allowing someone to make a mashup type song, 30 of this, 20 of that, 30 of another, etc. Looks like the recompression is unavoidable with its increased lo...

skipping defined sections of a song.

does a script exist for this purpose? i need to skip the last 45 seconds of a song thats just total blank space since i can't find a program to cut it out and not reencode the file back to MP3. would rather it just save the cut version as MP3 but not compressed a second time. something says that a d...

sync songs in small batches and allow each to complete. Forcing a system shutdown will cause MM to not be able to write the file list the ipod needs to be able to address the songs. While it does organize by tags for the User, the system still needs its own structure written so it can read them. Nfo...
