From what I've seen so far, it seems Music Brainz is similar to what MediaMonkey does. But I'm not entirely sure (I find the Music Brainz app to be bereft of proper help).
So if I have already have MM Gold (which I do), do I really need Music Brainz?
Admittedly, I don't even know what Music Brainz really does.

Re: MediaMonkey Vs. Music Brainz
I assume you mean PicardTagger? MusicBrainz is an online music database (similar to freedb) that is basically just a repository of album information that programs can use to look up track information on the internet.
To contrast, PicardTagger is a downloadable program that uses the MusicBrainz database to lookup track information (which MM can also do, see this script: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... &sk=t&sd=a ). I've never used PicardTagger, but as far as I know it is only a tagging app; in other words it will not sync to portable players, burn/rip cds, play tracks, or allow you to create playlists, etc.
