Burn Speed With MM Gold 3.2.0.1294?

Post by lordpuffer »

I just upgraded to Gold, and when I burned a CD, it said on the last page before you start the burn that it was at 24x.....However, it seemed slower. Is there another setting that I'm missing? Thanks. :(

No, there's no "secret increase burn speed button", if that's what you're asking

you can try to speed up your burn but not sure if changing the priority to the cdrom drive unit is a workable idea.

how ever you can speed up the decoder.exe but make no mistake in this as that speed up will lock your computer screen.
also might make the burn have an error and make a cdrom drink coaster. it just might only lock it until you see the cdrom be ejected when completed burning.

its up to you but if you want to try it. then right click on the windows xp taskbar then click on task manager.
on its process tab look for the decoder.exe when you are burning the cdrom. when you find the decoder.exe
right click on it. the menu shows you the options for setting the priority click on it then click on High priority.
don't use realtime on the decoder because that would be like well like eatting hot lava. you done messed your self up if you do that, so just use High priority then close the task manager.
this way of setting it is only a per session and won't be high priority the next time you start monkey and burn something.

but like i said it might cause a drink coaster to be made from the cdrom disk. it might also work and speed up with out making a error.

so its 50 to 50 chance either way. :-?
