Code 5 Installation Error

Post by Scooter »

Media Monkey 3.2.5 on Windows 7 PC
On a Shared Environment

Trying to Upgrade to 4 and I got an error message

C:Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\MMHelper\.dll

An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file
Delete File Failed Code 5

May I also add that the upgrade actually downgraded me to MM2.5 now and I lost about half my library--tracks are still in the folders per Windows, just the library is halved So I took a step back.

Before I uninstall and rescan, I thought I would ask for help.

Thanks in Advance

Restart your PC and reinstall again.

Worked Fine

Thanks.

Any reason why this would hiccup?

Something on your PC didn't release the file after MediaMonkey ran. This could be MediaMonkey not having closed completely or security software still having a lock on the file.
