If you find the answer please post it. Version 3 did this well just like you would want it to in your situation. Version 4 changed a lot of things.

Re: Search Bar in Party Mode
The search bar shows for me in party mode. I don't see any way to hide it.

Re: Search Bar in Party Mode
I'm using version 4.0.3 and I can't add any Toolbars, in particular the Search toolbar when in Party View no matter what options for it I enable or disable prior to switching to Party View. I think it might be related to locking the ability of the Media Tree to add new nodes, since every search entry creates a new node.

Re: Search Bar in Party Mode
Have same issue here with v4.0.6.1501. Search bar disappears when I go into Party Mode. All "security" options turned off upon entering it. I want my friends to be able to used the search bar feature in Party Mode on my computer when I'm using it for our music entertainment. Toolbars selection, and thus the Search selection under it, is not available under the View menu in Party Mode. So, how do I get search bar to show up in Party Mode?

Right click on a toolbar and enable it.

Re: Search Bar in Party Mode
Hi all. I'm having the same issue as the OP, unable to see the search bar in Party Mode - and right clicking on a toolbar when in PM does nothing. Appreciate this thread is 8 years old - anything else I should be doing in order to show the search bar?
* In the PM settings, everything is unticked except for enabling PM with a password.
Cheers - Ed.

Hi,
If you are missing Search in PM then in View Enable Now Playing -> Right click in Now playing panel -> View -> Toolbars and Enable Search.
