I have moved to a new Windows 7 64bit PC. MM4 is working fine, in fact better then on the old PC, except one thing. I can't play videos anymore.
Videos work well with Microsoft Mediaplayer but not in MM4.
Is any additional software required?

It depends on the type of video. You may be missing the necessary codecs to play certain types of files.

Re: No Video since moving to new PC
Thanks for the tip. I have now installed K-Lite codecs.
Now I can videos except MP4. For sure I could watch them before.
In K-Lite FAQ I found this tip: Use Win7DSFilterTweaker to change the preferred H.264 video decoder. The recommended setting is USE MERIT. Also enable H.264 in either LAV or ffdshow video decoder settings.
But this didn't solve the issue.
Any more tips?

Re: No Video since moving to new PC
mp4 doesn't say much, what type of audio and video streams are in the file? Audio stream could be raw PCM, MP3, MP2, AC3, DTS, AAC, etc., video stream could be MPEG4 (XVID/DIVX/....), AVC/H264, MPEG2, VC6, etc..

Re: No Video since moving to new PC
Sorry, I didn't know mp4 isn't the same as mp4.
Here is what I found under "details":
Video 1
Kodierer: Lavf53.7.0
Spuren: Video, H264 (avc1), 480x320 (3:2), 30.00fps, 755 kbps
Audio, AAC4LC, 2 Kanal, 48000 Hz, 142
Video 2-5
Kodierer: blank
Spuren: Video, MPEG4 (mp4v), 320x240 (4:3), 28.87 fps, 768 kbps
Audio, AAC4LC, 2 Kanal, 32000 Hz, 96 kbps, Japanese
If any additional info is needed, just tell me where I can find it, please.

Re: No Video since moving to new PC
Well, the video stream is H264. Hard to say what the problem is, if playback is ok in Windows Media Player it should be ok in MM, they use the same codecs to play the video and audio streams.
You might want to contact MM support via the link at the top of the page (Support).

Re: No Video since moving to new PC
I have opened a ticket got this issue solved.
Thanks to MediaMonkey support team for all their efforts to fix this.
Solution:
Uninstall all exsiting codec packs including MM AAC codec pack then
install latest version of MM codec pack (note: if you have a purchased version, you may want to open a ticket to get a non-trial-version and keep licensed.)
to add support for Apple *.mov format without QuickTime,
install K-Lite codec pack 32bit
