Go To Currently Playing Artist Node

Post by variable »

Is there a way to jump to the currently playing album artist. I know you can right click the artist and go to find more of same, but oftentimes I am browsing away and then I can not find a place to right click. Just wondering if there is a way to do this, even if it is a script and I make a toolbar icon to run the script?

Thanks!

Yes, but it goes to the currently selected artist, not the currently playing artist.

Good point. I know in some skins if you click on the artist in the player section it will bring you to the currently playing artist.

Do you think it would require making a new skin then?

... no. As I said some skins already support this.

Note, it requires a certain option to be enabled:

1. Options > Appearance
2. Check "Show Links in File list"
3. Change drop-down menu to "Library"

CleanMM, an old skin I made, supports this.

Yes, thank you, I have it working in CleanMM. I was running Vitreous (actually I think you made that skin as well) do you know a skin similar to it that has that functionality as well?

Not really. Similar in what way? Most skins are on the addons page: http://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/brows ... nce/skins/

Visually similar. I went through all the skins and found
[*]CleanMM
[*]iMonkey
[*]LastFM PaintItBlack

have the click for current artist capability.

CleanMM seems the closest to Vitreous I reckon.
