What the heck does anyone care the number of people trying to rip this song on the internet. Why am I getting this error let alone what does it mean. I am just trying to rip a cd to my hard drive. I am so tired of getting these error trying to update devices with music I purchased. I have the most current version.
It's a useful indicator of how reliable your ripped file is. CDs are not guaranteed to be read perfectly because of disc scratches and unreliable drives. If your ripped file matches a lot of other people's rips then you've probably got a good copy. If it doesn't match any or only matches a small number then you might have a bad rip and there might be pops and digital artifacts in the file. In that case you can try cleaning the disc and reripping it for a better copy.
Disable verify rip if you're not interested in this.
