Using version 4.1.15.1830
Apparently analyze volume doesn't work on flac files any more. MM doesn't respond at all request simply ignored.
Any suggestions?? Better tool to do the analysis, where the results are left where MM will see them??
thnx,

volume analyze for FLAC files not working

Works fine here. Perhaps the files already have a known Track Volume?

Well, MM doesn't see the values/tags. Levels (track, album) started blank and stayed that way. No indication that MM was actually doing anything.Lowlander wrote:Works fine here. Perhaps the files already have a known Track Volume?
I've use DbPoweramp in the past to calculate replaygain levels in the past, but MM could never see the results so I don't do that anymore.

What is the full Path of a file that fails to analyze? Does that file play in MediaMonkey?

Re: volume analyze for FLAC files not working
Same problem here. Stopped analyzing - only not showing? - the album values. Track values still analyzing, showing.
Re: volume analyze for FLAC files not working
Make sure you select all files on the Album (as MediaMonkey sees it) for analysis, only then is Album Volume calculated. This works fine here with FLAC.

Re: volume analyze for FLAC files not working
Then the question is: What is an album for MMW?
Same text in the field "album"?
Will the disk-no be of concern?
Guess I have tried all, but the album-volume still doesn't show up.
Anyway, where is this stored? How can I see it in the FLAC file?
The problem started about 5 days ago. (MMW updated) (After having installed Microsoft's Security patch for April) ????

Re: volume analyze for FLAC files not working
All tracks where Album and Album Artist have the same value are an Album for MediaMonkey. Right click on a file and use Find More from Same > Album to see what MediaMonkey considers to be all the files on the Album. http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... erties/4.0

Re: volume analyze for FLAC files not working
Fantastic. Indeed, after rightclicking a title and then find more from same album it worked.
But frankly I don't get the difference between this approach or choosing from view "show art with details" shift/enter.
But ok, I will do your solution from now on.
Thanks a lot for the help

Re: volume analyze for FLAC files not working
It doesn't matter how you do it, but all files on the Album need to be selected.
