Can't get in_mp3.dll to work

Post by Giarc »

Can anyone tell me how to get the latest Winamp input plugin to work? I've read posts from other users who say they simply copied in_mp3.dll into the MediaMonkey\Plugins folder and it works. However, on my system the plugin does not show up in the list. Removing the standard MP3 input plugins does not help. I've tried it on both Win98 and XP with the same results.

Sorry not to be of any help, but I happen to have one computer where MM reads and can use the latest in_mp3.dll from Winamp 5.2 (in_mp3.dll v3.5) and another computer where MM do not recognize this input plug-in at all.

Both computers do have MM v2.52.951 (just installed on the computer that do not recognize the .dll)

I may add that Winamp2 recognize in_mp3.dll v3.5, and MM suppose to be Winamp2 compatible.

This input plug-in feature gapless decoding of .mp3 files. Anyone else out there who would know how to make the 'fresh' computer recognize the latest winamp in_mp3.dll ?
