Possible to remove the video and only convert the audio?

Post by peppergomez »

Playing some mp4 vids I downloaded from Youtube, part of a movie soundtrack.I would like to convert them to mp3 and have only the audio, not the video. Is that possible to do within the latest gold version of MM? If not, can anyone suggest a good app for doing that? Thanks!

I use avidemux but there’s loads of apps that will do the same.

Personally I use MediaHuman tools for converting video to audio or downloading from YouTube only in audio format. They offer many free (like YouTube to MP3 Converter) or very inexpensive tools. Developers need money too :) Simple tools and very straightforward. I'm a big fan. They have also very responsive support. Also - they work very actively on the programs and have releases very frequently.

Great tip on MediaHuman for YT to mp3! I tried it after reading your post. Very nice replacement for a FFox add-on I was using over the years!
