Hi,
until yesterday I had all my music on a NAS with a mapped network drive "M:\".
To speed up editing operations I moved them to a local folder "D:\Music\" using the file manager (Windows Explorer).
Since the MM Library expects the files at M:\<some path>, I mapped my folder "D:\Music" to "M:\" using the command "subst M: D:\Music\".
On file level it seems to work just fine: the explorer shows the same file paths as before.
But MM does not seem to "like" this mapped path. I guess it's too "smart" and recognizes that the old M:\ has a different true location than the new M:\.
It shows all tracks grayed out. They are not played and the file path shows "[music]\<some original path>".
How can I tell the Library / MM that the former M:\ is to be treated just like the new M:\ ?
Alternatively: how can I tell MM, that the library's root directory has changed?
TIA
Lutz

Re: All file paths begin with [music]
MediaMonkey uses driveID which would be different for the 2 locations despite having the same drive letter. The following can fix that: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... n+database
