Somehow I have managed to change the appearance of the title so that it now contains the artist and track number as well as the song title. HELP - I can't figure out how I did it and how to get it to show the song titles only.

Maybe you used Auto-Tag from Filename incorrectly: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... lename/4.0
