I really hate the fact that he was a British ref. - what a disgrace!

As with many people in Australia, now we all need to convert the gringos (Americans).

We in Southeast Alaska are watching the cup on ESPN Replay at 10:00 p.m. I set the darn vcr to record the USA Ghana game and got the World Poker tour instead man was I bummed, and not just with the final. So who to root for now The Ausies looked as good as anyone else!

Fifa is the one that sucks. All about money. Here the games are on the satellite provider that no one has. So we're missing out on most of it. And the channels that pass the occasional game don't have good programing guides so one can't plan ahead. My worldcup experience has revolved around the google personal page with the up to date scores. Thanks Fifa!

Well after the referee gave the win to Italia and this weekends shameful performance there is nothing but sadness left about this world cup. May Germany win as they have been great hosts and have created a fabolous world cup that the Fifa tries to destroy in whichever way they can.

Here, here... but I'm not that hard on the refs.
A GREAT team is better than a bad ref.

It depends. I'm not saying that the Netherlands played well nor very nice, but against a ref like that you can't win. At least one should be allowed to play. And the second half saw little play, very little play.

Soccer is the king of sports...
And as with every king, soccer is corrupted as well...
At least, I as a Greek, was able to see my country winning the euro, although i am pretty sure that this wont happen again for the next 200 years or until we get the Olympics again. It was a great feeling. Greece was looking at the sky for a couple of months...

Anyway, i am sorry about Australia... but expect payback soon. Italy will soon go home.

I am just hoping for a Brazil vs Argentina final (and offcourse i would like argentina to win)
