Syncing Movies from iTunes wipes music on iPod

Postby Greebo on Tue Nov 03, 2009 7:15 pm

Hi all,

I've read through quite a few of the threads on here, and the wiki guide on syncing, but i just can't work out how to transfer Movies to the iTouch without iTunes deleting the music that is already on the iTouch (I'm obviously using MM to manage the music! :) ).

iTunes : 9.0.0.70
MM : 3.1.2.1267
iTouch : 16Gb 2.2.1

In iTunes i've disabled every tick box i can find that is possibly related to transferring music. Manage music manually is ticked. If i try and drag a film onto the itouch symbol nothing happens. If i sync movies it automatically wipes the music on the iTouch, even though none of the music check boxes are ticked.

I'm getting extremely frustrated with this. Any ideas?

Ideally, i'd like to move away from iTunes altogether (nasty, horrible, ugly, awkward, incomprehensible, frustrating piece of crap that it is) so if anyone can recommend third party software that can sync movies i'd love to know.

cheers,

G.

You should first upgrade to the latest beta build, 1267 was an early beta release. 1283 is currently the latest.

Hi Nohitter,

I can try that, but i don't see how it could help solve this.... MM to iTouch transfer works fine. The problem is at the iTunes end with it wiping the music, even though none of the music tick boxes are checked.

cheers,
