imported iPhone playlist has no contents

Trying to transfer my Playlists from my iPhone 6 to MM 4 Windows 10
Installed iTunes for Desktop (I think it is right version - I didn't get it from Microsoft)
USB connection to iPhone successful as I could see the iPhone and it's Music Library. (Can also see it in MM)
Selected a playlist in iTunes and ran File/Library/Export Playlist.
I exported it as both a .txt and .m3u file.
I can view the contents of .txt file in NotePad.
I cannot figure out how to view the contents of the .m3u file.
It may be empty as when I import the file into MM via File/Add Rescan, the Playlist Name is imported but no associated songs.

Don't know if this is an iTunes problem. Definitely a user problem!

You can't sync Playlists from Apple devices to your PC using MediaMonkey.
