Batch Art Finder 4.2 - Updated 03/07/2012

I have tried searching this forum for any answers, but I can't find it. I have recently been unable to find any results in my search. I used to be able to run this script with no issue, so I'm not sure if something got changed somewhere that affected the script.

Everything else works fine and I get no error messages. I just get [No results] every single time I search for an album using Google and a few of the others as my source. AlbumArt always finds the same 12 images that have nothing to do with the album, and Juno just finds the same single unrelated image. RateYourMusic has been the only thing that worked to any extent, but the images are only like 50x50, which is far too tiny for my liking.

Btw, minor inconvenience, but if I switch source within the script, it gets stuck on [Searching]. I have to close and then reopen the script for any of them to work at all.

Google often change their search results in order to improve their service, but this breaks the script. Whilst Google is the best source, unfortunately it takes a lot of effort to keep up with them, something I don't have time for at the moment. Sorry, I'll try to update the script when I can.

For whatever reason, this would only occur for audioscobbler queries.

Add this to BatchArtFinder.vbs:2737 to fix the problem

I recently uninstalled mm for an issue I was having and am now trying to add artwork to some files but am receiving "no results" on everything. I remember getting this problem the first time but don't remember the fix. Does anyone remember having this problem?

I too recently installed the BAF plugin and have not been successful in obtaining any results. Is there a problem with this extension? I am running Win8 x64.

@hannuraina - thanks for this, I'll fix this in the next version.

@imovemusic - I've not had a chance to test on Win8, as I don't own a copy, it could be that the MSInet.ocx component I'm using doesn't work, or needs registering/activating in a different way, which could be causing the problem. I've also not tested it on x64, so similar for that.

Hi
I was trying to change the script in order to get it works with the new Google Image format. With the few knowledge I have about programming I managed to get the correct url in the batching process, so in theory it had to work, but it keeps returning No results. However in the log file you can see it gets the images but there's something that doesn't allow to show them (it says wrong type of image, I think it's somehing to do with the part that reads the properties of the image: type, width, height.., the url is fine i checked it on IE and it opens the webpage). Please if anybody with more experience in programming would take a look maybe could solve the problem.

I hope Trixmoto doesn't get mad, I've only modified some things of his awesome script. I know he doesn't have too much time for new updates, that's why I did this.
Like I said before I have poor knowledges of programming, so If someone with better skills finds erros in the code or better ways to make it works (see the log file above the first part of the results still doesn't return images, I think it has something to do with a Google captcha), please fix it and share.
Test it. With all the excitement I didn't check it too many times or in another computer.

BTW: I tried to make it works with Bing, but I didn't get it, that's why there is the Bing option between the sources, but it still doesn't work
You have to replace the file BatchArtFinder.vbs in all the locations where it's on your computer, I think they are:
C:\Users\(Username)\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto
C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey
Make a backup copy first
