@spacefish: Thanks, it's fixed in the next version.

@mohikaani: Hmm... Then there's probably nothing I can do because my script only uses 'UpdateDB' and doesn't force MM to write tags... Only the SkipDetection (if enabled) wrote the changes to tags explicitly but this has been fixed in the next version.

Thanks a lot! I disabled the SkipDetection option and now it works like a charm

I'll be waiting for the next release...

EDIT: Didn't help afterall. When I play tracks and AAR is enabled, it always updates the played file tags. Although it calculates the ratings normally in the background and keeps other file tags untouched.

@mohikaani: Well then I can't do anything about that. Probably MediaMonkey just updates something in the tag if soemthing in a field in the database changes. I think to remember that there already were MM-users who said that before. I'll ask a developer as soon as I have time.

So, here is the RC1 of AutoRateAccurate 2.2.1. Bugfixes are the only changes so probably there won't be so much RCs like for the versions before.

Changes since 2.2:
-Fix: A infinite loop which made MM freeze on very short songs (<1 second) has been solved. (Thanks jonny2284 and others)
-Fix: SkipDetection forced MM to update tags even if "Write Tags" was disabled. (Thanks mohikaani)
-Fix: AutoRateAccurate forgot 'Never keep manual ratings'-option. (Thanks spacefish)

NOTE: Please restart MM after installing 2.2.1!

Very strange... I haven't changed anything which could cause that problem and here it works great. Have you checked that it's not the antivirus-tool? Or the UAC if you use Vista? Do you have any other scripts which work? HAve you tried to uninstall and reinstall the script? Have you restarted MM afterwards?

Any other persons with such a problem?

Yes, I have plenty of script working eg. MonkeyRok, Auto Album DJ, Last.fm DJ/Scrobbler, Magic Nodes, PlayHistory & Stats, RightClickForWeb, Tagging Inconsistencies...

Every now and then I get some memory errors when I try to close MM and it hangs till I kill the process manually. Maybe I should try to make a clean install of MM and all the scripts but it would be quite a big project.

I tried to disable avast!, reinstall the script and restart MM but any of these didn't make any difference. My UAC is disabled by default.

btw. my mp3 files are on a mounted network drive and but I guess it doesn't have anything to do with this problem.

Hi Berny,

Installed 2.2.1 RC1 and MM crashes on track change. I get the standard Windows error "MediaMonkey has stopped working and needs to close.", no other errors. Reverting to 2.2 (non-debug) resolves the problem. Tracks change again as expected.

could you try this version? I tried to change something but don't know if it works. If it crashes try to disable 'Incremental Playcounter'.

@mohikaani: Yeah, I'll look if I can do something. But maybe a clean install of MediaMonkey would be good since you also have problem with MediaMonkey itself. By the way do you use the newest version of MediaMonkey? If not please update!
