You can't use it. It doesn't work since the website used to retrieve the lyrics is blocking the plugin now.rovingcowboy wrote:sorry i can't tell you how to use this because i don't use it.lytninb wrote:Okay, I've read and read and am confused. ... And there was much remorse.
Re: Lyricator - Batch Lyrics Updater v1.00 [MM3]
For the moment you could try minilyrics + embedded minilyrics.
Doesn't work in batch.
But it still finds the lyrics automatically. (if set to)

Some of you may be glad to know that I've got it working again.
It doesn't require any "special servers" setting up - it's pulling the lyrics straight from the website(s) - just like it used to.
Currently working:
http://www.lyricsvip.com (Not via lyricsplugin.com anymore!)
Still to add:
http://www.chartlyrics.com
http://www.azlyrics.com
http://lyrics-songs.com
http://lyrics.wikia.com
http://www.darklyrics.com
http://www.plyrics.com
http://www.urbanlyrics.com
If anyone knows of any other better (free*) sites, please let me know.
[*] http://music.zortam.com/ is free. You can view tracks via the website, but the URL encoding isn't the easier to navigate. However their program access it a different way, not sure if we would be allow to use that method as you have to pay for the software.

I'm still working on it - I don't want to release it just yet as it's not stable.
However... If you want to help test it, PM me and I'll send you the something to try out
*For the record you don't need to do anything now to get it working - it's just like any other addon/script. Click, install, run. Done. *

Re: Lyricator - Batch Lyrics Updater v1.00 [MM3]
Thanks for letting me test Lyricator.
I have it installed and when I try to run it on a track the screen flashes and then I am taken to "file:///C:/Users/James/AppData/Local/Temp/Lyricator.htm" in my web browser. This page lists the track I was trying to tag with lyrics. When I return to MediaMonkey the Lyricator window is empty except for the little loading wheel, which is stopped, and the save and close buttons.
I can see the settings for Lyricator in the Options menu, but the option to change the Source is greyed out.
Thanks for continuing to work on this!

Thanks for the feedback jstrickland (and welcome to the forum too!).
The source selection I've stop for the mo (due to a bug). However, it's using all four sources at the mo.
Now about the other issue - did that happen on a older version of Lyricator?

It is possible that it did do the webpage thing after it stopped functioning correctly before. It has been so long since I have tried it I can't say for sure. Not much help I know.

Try uninstalling Lyricator, closing MM, then starting up and installing the version under test. I had none of the problems cited above.

Re: Lyricator - Batch Lyrics Updater v1.00 [MM3]
I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled MM and Lyricator. Still the same problems.
I also tried version 1.1.0.021 of Lyricator and it does exactly the same thing.
I tried running the Lyricator installer with MM open and with MM closed. The only difference I could see between the newer and the older version of Lyricator is that the older one did not tell me to restart MM after it was installed.
I am doing all this with MM version 3.2.2.1300 on Win 7 Pro 64-bit.
