All,
I had this problem with Lyiricator that a lot if others have also: Lyricator stopped working entirely. I don't know why this happened, but I've got it solved - thanks to the solution suggested by Nohitter. It goes like this:
- uninstall Lyricator
- run Mediamonkey as administrator
- reinstall Lyricator while MM is running and make sure you UNcheck the box "install for this user only".
That's it! Happy lyricating!

Yes, it was originally developed for use in MM3, so it should work fine.

I'm still using MM3 and have had no trouble with it. I'm baffled as to why so many people are. :-?

This is a great add on!
It's not the fault of the script some songs don't come with lyrics, either a tagging issue or they aren't in a database somewhere.
It's one of those programs that you'd expect to pay for, but Free!
Good job SquirrelScript!

In the lyricator.js script in line 282, change

Code: Select all

  var reS = new RegExp("[']*", "g");
to

Code: Select all

  var reS = new RegExp("[\']*", "g"); // quoted the apostrophe
No big deal, but also make sure the block in lines 15-24 has a semicolon (;) at the end of each line:

Code: Select all

var tryAZLyrics;
var rAZLyrics;
var tryLyricWikia;
var rLyricWikia;
var tryLyrDB;
var rLyrDB;
var tryLyricsVIP;
var rLyricsVIP;
var tryLyricsSong;
var rLyricsSongs;
Best regards,
Pete

Curious, is there any way to get this script to add time-stamped lyrics that auto-scroll?

No. Use Minilyrics for that.

I am getting an error message using Lyricator when Firefox is my default browser. When I change the default browser to Internet Explorer everything works good. The error message I get is "t" object expected line 179, column 15 of lyricator vbs script. I looked at that, but had no idea what may need to be changed. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it. Having IE as my default browser is throwing off my day...lol.

This is my first time around. I was a "i don't care about tagging lyrics" person until recently... I believe I set Firefox to open the html page that it requests and now everytime I click (when Firefox is the default) it opens the html page for that song, freezes and gives me the error message (above)...

I installed lyricator 1.1.1.31 (not as admin - is there a way?) - I am being told that the installation worked fine. I restart MM as admin and try to run lyricator. The window opens but is empty. At the same time I am being asked to open lyricator.htm.

If I do it opens the browser with file:///C:/Users/user/AppData/Local/Temp/Lyricator.htm. I can not interact with this file. The lyricator window is still empty.

If I do not open lyricator.htm and cancel lyricator it gives me error #70 and tells me that there is a problem lyricator.vbs Line 139 Column 6

Thanks for any advise on how to circumvent this problem!
I am having this same problem using Lyricator (MM 3.2.5.1306) on 32-bit Windows XP. It always opens an html file in the browser. The Lyricator window is empty and I get the Permission Denied - Error #70 in line 139 when I close it. I've installed and run MediaMonkey as an Administrator. I also tried switching browsers and get the same error. Any ideas what is causing this?
This looks to be the same issue; I never receive the error #70, and I am running in XP... However, mine works when I switch to IE.
