I'm back with Fav Nodes not working again - tried everything as before - even reinstalled script....
the error given:
an error occured while auto-opening the specified node. Possibly, the node specification is incorrect. The node had has been opened as far as possible.

This is interesting....

If I assign a shortcut key i.e. l for location - it works! :D

But not if I use the tool bar button?

:(

I think I always had the same problem with this script (I've only used it in MM3) that it won't let me assign hotkeys.

In the hotkey field when I assign a Favourite Node, I can put in e.g. "F" but not "Ctrl+F" or any key combination that includes Ctrl, Alt, Shift.

The script (Steegy's 1.2 update at the bottom of the previous page) works fine from the toolbar, so thanks very much again, Steegy.

As he has kindly given the OK for anyone to take over this script, I wonder if anyone might like to do that? Or is my problem unique to me?

Or is there an alternative way, of which I am not aware, to quickly go to commonly used nodes?

How is this supposed to work in MM3 ?

I installed the exe, and can add shotcuts to "Favourite Node".
I can also delete them under "Edit"

But the actual "Favourite Node" is no where to be seen ?

Help please! :)

There is no 'node', there should be a menu on the toolbar which has the list of other 'favorite' nodes.

its like the favorites menu in IE.

Ah, thanks alot! :)
I was looking for the house icon, as per page one..

I guess there's no chance of having it as a seperate node ? :)

I doubt it, that would be a completely different script. This one simply gives you quick menu access to existing nodes, it doesn't consolidate them under a new node.

If you want to customize the tree, check the options you can hide and re-organize the order of the existing nodes there.

is it possible to add a new toolbar, lets say "favor" and make the favorites icon appear on that toolbar?
what do i have to change in the .vbs? i tried to simply replace "TBstandard" by "favor" but it gives me an error.

also i am not sure how the focus is working.
sometimes the chosen folder is at the bottom of the lister-view and sometimes on the top.
can this be changed somehow so that the chosen folder is always opened directly underneath the shortcuts-bar?
