I just recently used this program to embed MiniLyrics within MediaMonkey. It's a great idea.

Here's my dumb question.
I was playing around within the MiniLyrics window and clicked on 'the lyrics Editor'. Now I'm stuck in the editor. I don't know how to go back to the regular 'view lyrics' mode.

Any ideas?

Forget it. I figured it out.

Right-click on the MiniLyrics title bar. The will bring up the menu.

Minilyrics used to work great but now I can't seem to get anything more than a blank panel. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both MM3 and minilyrics, restarting inbetween, but still nothing. Can anyone help? I've looked in task manager and there are not multiple instances of MM running.

What changed since the last time it worked? Did you change MiniLyrics' opacity?

I think I added a skin and was trying to get the last.fm scrobbler and auto-dj to work. But I uninstalled those. Opacity is unchanged, I just tried it at 100 but still nothing.

Another strange behavior is that there is no context menu, though I do get the download lyrics prompt window.

Quick question, dont know if this has been asked before so forgive me. But is there a Lyric Timer available for ML? I know trix used to have a script but that is only for 2.5 MM.

Thanks

Just in case this happens to anyone else, I uninstalled minilyrics (the program, not the embedder), manually deleted the minilyrics folder in the Application Data folder (the key, apparently), and reinstalled minilyrics. Works great now.

Gah this is really annoying me now :(

My problem is, i'm not even seeing any hint of the embedder actually embedding anything... I DO see the minilyrics window pop up, and once i click close on the "Evaluation Version" window that pops up, the LRC icon remains in the tray, but nothing shows up anywhere... including the toggle button that apparently appears in the "View" toolbar (which is enabled, yes..!)

I've tried using various versions of MM3, (the currrent official release [3.0.2.1134] and some of the latest Betas.

I've tried various versions of MiniLyrics [5.4.3061 and 5.7.3418].

I can't see anything to move into the scripts folder - in the "Auto" folder there's already a MMEmbededer.dll and a MiniLyrics Embedder.vbs but no exe at all.. (am i missing here?)

In the "plugins" folder, there's the gen_MiniLyrics.dll as there should be, but afaik nothing else related.

I've tried fully reinstalling Mediamonkey, and although i had made some custom layout changed in the registry before, they seem to have been reverted to the new layout upon reinstallation. (i'd disabled the tree, for instance). I also deleted all AppData for each that i could find, and ran crap cleaner to clean anything i might have missed...

Have also tried disabling my NOD32 antivirus/spyware program, and windows firewall..

The lyrics do show up and work fine when just MiniLyrics is installed without your embedder... but nothing at all when installed.

I've also checked that the plugin is working because in Tools - Options - General Plugins it shows up there as "MiniLyrics for WinAmp" - i'm guessing this is more part of the actual MiniLyrics program anyway, rather than anything you've done?

I've tried both skinned and non-skinned modes of MM too...

Sorry for such a long post, but it would be SOOO good if anyone could help me here, i have glanced at the rest of the thread, but it all seems irrelivant and out of date... Cheers for any help at all,

Ollie

Sounds like its all installed correctly but the toggle is in the View Menu not the view toolbar.

Shift+Ctrl+L is the shortcut to toggle.

Also, in order to embed opacity should be set to 100%. Maybe this is the issue?

The wife just bought a cam that also plays mp3s.

The manual says that it can read lyrics if it has lrc files. Is this the best option to get lrc files for her tracks? I don't know much about lrc files.
