Is it possible to create a playlist for MM for Android when it the files are on a UPnP system (disk connected to WIFI router playing via DLNA).
How can I do this? Can you help me please get started?

No, it is not possible as there is no way to store paths to files due the Dynamic naming of UPnP.

Re: Creating a playlist with Android version of MM
Thank you, but when I go to MM Windows on my PC I can indeed create a playlist. I cannot select a folder, but I can select the constituent files within that folder and then can "send to" Playlist. That playlist can then be played.
Just to test this, I reloaded MM Windows and it still played - so my question remains, can I create a playlist in MM Android with UPnP and if so, how?

Re: Creating a playlist with Android version of MM
I have discovered one way, and that is to create a playlist in MM Windows and then that playlist is accessible in MM Android - but only when accessing the Android Windows as the Server. This means that an indirect way of playing music through MM Android in that the Server (ie the PC) must be running MM.
I would love to hear from someone if there is a less clumsy way of creating and using the playlist within MM Android.

If you want to have access to a Playlist while the server is off, you need to sync it to the device.

Re: Creating a playlist with Android version of MM
So Peke is incorrect? A playlist CAN be created and this is through MM Windows.
Then that playlist is synced to the MM Android through by connecting the Android device to MM Windows server.
After syncing the playlist can be played only if connected to MM Server (and NOT the Router as required for MM Windows). But for this syncing to work it requires the PC to be running MM Windows. IOW the Android device only operates as a slave unit to the PC. That said, it can access the router directly as an alternative and play files but only by selecting a folder, playlists do not then exist.
Thank you for your help, pity these steps are not seemingly documented.

No, you can't sync just the Playlist, the files on the Playlist will also be synced.
