Multiple casts & internet radio

Post by Craftymum »

Hi hoping someone can help. I have 3 x Pure A2 jongo's throughout the house and I want to be able to cast the same music for parties to all. I can do this with the Pureconnect app but it uses windows media player and it is incredibly frustrating so I would rather use Media Monkey. I can cast to one A2 at a time, is there a way I can select more than one?
Also, I listen to a lot of internet radio, particularly BBC Radios 3 and 4, how do I access this via the Media Monkey app? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks

Is DLNA employed when streaming to multiple devices? MediaMonkey can only stream to a single DLNA client at a time. Maybe ask the manufacturer to allow their App work with other software than WMP.

MediaMonkey 5 may see improved abilities with multi-client streaming, however this a complicated area as there are so many devices and implementations. MMA can do multi-client streaming with Chromecast clients (when clients are in a group).

Hi Lowlander
I am hoping that Pure will be releasing the software as they have announced they have discontinued the Jongo and therefore all support for the app will cease so it is unlikely they will do any additional modifications to the software themselves.

I will contact them and see if they are likely to offer it up- although I believe it may have been designed by a 3rd party so the IP may rest with them.

If I could work out how to put them in a group ....

Thanks for your help,
