MMA forced close causes phone reboot??

Post by dtsig »

Following up on http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 21&t=69883 I started by trying to delete all music from MMA. I went to Albums, selected the first one then using icon above sell.ected them all. Pressed the trashcan and Yes to delete all.

After a couple of minutes I got a message that MM is not responding and Wait, Report or Close (i think.. should have written down). Pressed Wait and nothing happened .. button didn't light when i pressed it. So pressed Report .. same. After another minute a new message that MM is not responding Report, Close. Pressed Report and all of a sudden the phone reboots.

What's up with that???

Memory cache filled is my guess, so it locked up then closed the program with an reboot because it was a total failure on the cache,.

Thanks for that ..

Then MMA ate up all the cache, i really have very little running on my phone. Also, a couple of days ago the phone was turned off so it hadnt been running for a long time.

Well i think the repeated clicking caused it, as i know it does on the desktops,
When you get a program working slower then it normaly does on the desktop if you click it to make it start again it does not start again untill the first command has finished it keeps the command in ram or the cache til it gets to it, then while it is slow it looks like nothing is happening you click it a 3rd time adding another command to the every growing menu of orders, and causing it to fill the cache till the system just locks up making the reboot needed.

How do i know this, because my sisters and my nephew when he was a kid would keep doing this clicking and locking up the system it took me several times of fighting with them to make them stop it.

So i'm guessing the phone has a smaller cache then the desktops, and mma is doing a lot more then other apps with all the features i suspect the cache, i could be wrong but i dont think it is mma's fault in whole but just in the fact it has more data it is doing even more so since it is beta version.

In all that way i think the cache was filled.

Now of course i too got this not working error and it did the same to me but only twice and i did send in the reports. My phone is not a samsung g3 so it is an error going on with all phones either its andriod or mma? Or the too small of cache.

Well at least it happened to someone else .. who doesn't click too often :D

As this doesn't happen with other apps i can only guess that it is MMA.
