MM will not pull in any media files from my external SD card.
I have done everything I can think of to remedy this issue, to no avail.
I have uninstalled the app, & reinstalled. I've moved the media files to another folder. I've given MM permission to access the SD card. I've deleted the library folders & re-selected the folder.

Which version of MMA and Android and do other Apps have no issues with SD card access?

Re: MM will not pull in any media files from my external SD
Note: we're not having any issues loading / syncing / playing files from the SD card on numerous devices.
The key is:
- on Android 3/4, applications usually can't have write access to the entire SD card and are limited to writing to app-specific directories (that are deleted when the app is uninstalled). See http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... e/View/163
- on Android 5+, appropriate permissions must be granted for MMA to access/write the SD card. You are normally prompted for this when you first run MMA.
See http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... e/View/237
- to tell MMA to scan the relevant folders on the SD card (Options > Choose library folders).

Re: MM will not pull in any media files from my external SD
It's a stock Samsung Galaxy Note 4
OS version 6
MM pro, beta
All permissions have been granted.
File types are mainly mp3(90%), but some are various other types
Files are located on the root of the SD card in a "mp3" folder
I have done all of the things that you have listed. I've told MM to rescan for my files. I've removed the folder from MM & re-selected it. I've removed the storage permissions & let MM reapply them & I've reapplied them manually.
Still no luck. No music is found.

I know it is long shot but are you sure that you do not have .nomedia file in SDCard/mp3/ folder?
