Feature Request: Codec Support

Post by RickQuiz »

Greetings:

I've been using MMA on my Pioneer XDP-300R DAP (runing Android 5.1.1), and upgrading my music collection to 16 and 24 bit FLAC formats as well. I also use MediaMonkey (latest version) on my Windows 10 workstation. Unfortunately I find that MMA is unable to play 24 bit FLAC tracks as well a some m4a tracks due to missing CODECs. I've had to switch to an Onkyo audio player for the unit, and am only using MMA to sync - which is disappointing since I've been using MediaMonkey for years.

Please consider this enhancement for a future release of MMA.

Thanks

Thanks--we're considering adding support for codecs in the future, but it's not on the immediate to-do list. In the meantime, you might want to consider using auto-conversion when you sync, so that MMW syncs to a format that is supported on the device running MMA.
