Some issues with the new version

Post by mkzwo »

Hey just want to list some issues with the newest version I recognized (on Surface RT with a 3000 songs library on a 64gb sd card which is embedded as a ntfs folder on drive c:

- back arrow still often freezes
- app often crashes when using the search function
- app often crashes when editing file properties, espacially when editing multiple entries of multiple files.
- the properties editor seems not to take effect on the id3 tag of the file. Seems the information is not written directly into the file. When I look up the media information in windows explorer I can see no changes there. Is it meant to be like that? Is it just an id3 reader and not an editor?

- possibility to sort songs by "rating" and "newest" or "recently added" is really missing...

Hi.

re freeze: you mean back button is disabled and will not change the state (so will remain disabled) ? Any steps to reproduce or is it random ?
re search crash: this will be fixed in next build (37)
re editor: currently MM8 not saving changes to tags, but we plan to make it in future builds
re sorting: will add rating and date added both to search and tracks views

Thanks for response!
The back button always freezes when doing these steps:
1) Open the app
2) Search for a song using the search function
2) Click on the song to,play it
3) Then hit the back button to see the search results again... It freezes...
