Repeated request for sd card access

Post by TroubleClef »

MMA asks for access to sd card everytime I start the app. Each time I give access, but it keeps asking. I'm also having a possibly related problem of not being able to delete files from the sd card. I have the sd card access permissions set up on the device settings.

Any suggestions?

Apply for latest MMA beta as 1.3.0 should fix it.

OK, out of curiosity, would I be having this problem if I had MMA Pro?

Well, installed the beta but I still can't delete anything and there's the new problem of the circle next to the search icon in upper right constantly spinning. I'm assuming this will drain the battery. What next? If I do an uninstall/reinstall will I have to reload all the music?

Send a debug log (from About screen) when you see this continuing spinning. It should've been resolved in the latest beta. You can either reply here with the logID or open a Support Ticket with the logID mentioned.

OK thanks. sent a log but couldn't select the id text so I can't report it here and can't open a ticket with reference to that id...

If I open a support ticket anyway is mm support responsive?

The beta version hasn't solved any of my problems: deleting files, syncing ratings and stats, SD access requests, spinning sync circle... and no response to my log or support ticket.

Does mediamonkey provide any sort of consistent help here or elsewhere or am i just wasting everyone's time? I'm starting to feel a little like a dupe for purchasing the gold lifetime license without testing the waters a little more.

Is the mma pro version any more reliable?

Thanks

Troubleclef,

Sorry for the late response.

We receive 100's of logs per day. In order to analyze them we need you to indicate the log ID with your report so that we can find the relevant log. If anyone is experiencing this set of issues, it's most likely related to the fact that permissions aren't being granted for some reason. Please restart MMA, grant permissions when it (again) asks you to do so, then once you're back in the track browser, generate a log and post the log ID here. That should tell us why permissions aren't being granted correctly.

Thanks.

Hi,
To close on this issue, with Troubleclef, we managed offline to resolve problematic files and permission issue so MMA now correctly get permissions when assigned. Thank you for patience, let us know if you have any other issues with SD card synchronization.
