sync completes, but new tracks not added

have sync'd my S7 with 128GB card. 14.8GB remaining.
after the 1st sync, i can see/play the new tracks using Samsung Music & Play Music.
BUT none of these tracks are to be found in MM.
after several complete syncs, no change.

Which version if MMA, MMW and Android and are you doing a wifi or USB sync?
