Hello, who know free resources where is possible to download music ?

Free, don't think so, but there is Amazon and iTunes that both offer DRM free music.

Some places like Last.fm have a free downloads section of their website, mainly just new artists who are trying to get their name out. Amazon and iTunes also offer a limited selection of free tracks.

and eMusic.com also have limited number free tracks of new starting out artists.

Where to go all depends on what you're interested in.

Presumably there must be a lot of non-legal sites that come up in that search but there are masses of places to get free music.

Archive.org has loads of free music.

music.download.com seems to have 120,353 free tracks (although they claim: "111,052 FREE MP3s"

I guess there must be a constant supply of time-limited offers on hundreds of sites, if only we knew (or cared) where they were.

So this could be a fantastic thread. Add the word "free" to the thread title, to differentiate it from the non-free music download sites, and hopefully it could be constantly updated when people stumble across free legal music.

Try doing a google blog search for whatever interests you ie; Artist Name - Album Name
To search blogs do a normal web search then try the pulldown menu in the top left corner of your Google results page and click Blogs.

I download almost all my music from emusic. (would use iTunes but I don't own an iPod! All my buddies do... )
Anyway, enough of that. Emusic is a pretty cool site. You pay for a submission and then download for free.
Lots of choices though it seems to shy away from classical. Everything is in MP3 format, easy to download
(and fast) Really an all-around slick site for Free Music Downloads.

You can go to some free music download sites like Jamendo.com, Mp3.com and Stereogum.com to get music without forking out.

Bandcamp is another site for music download of up and coming artists, many different genres. Not free (maybe a few still are), but usually reasonably priced.
