PC version great, App rubbish. Any other app alternatives ?

I love the pc version, but after having so many problems with updating the latest version. I'm gonna try another app any ideas ? I only want to play my collection on shuffle and create a few playlists and listen to them. I don't really wanna mess around with another syncing system so i just want to copy from folder(pc) to folder (sd card)

Can you please describe steps what you are doing currently and highlight problems you are experiencing so that we can suggest the solution and in case of bug that we can file and fix it?
