album art non-display issues and a crash [#16064][#16065]

Post by Barry4679 »

this fix has gone too far?

Browsing the Folders node no longer becomes laggy due to all the Internet art lookups, which is good.

But couldn't the art image be displayed here, where the folder contains a Folder.jpg file? ... or was contained in track tags?

If no, you could remove the Artwork column ... but then you can't, because MM5 moved the Select The Whole Container behaviour from the Summary column cell to the Artwork cell.

Also why is there no "Lookup Image..." right click menu option, in the main panel rows|cells? ... It is missing here, and also from EntireLibrary>AllTracks ... even in the Artwork cell? ... is this by design? .... doesn't seem helpful.

MM5 crashed while inactive while I was writing up this report.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.

Added 'lookup image...' context menu suggestion at https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=16065

Thanks!
