When I am playing a video, shouldn't mm5 keep the screensaver from running?

Full screen video? I guess that this depends on your power plan in Power Settings, e.g. this in Win7: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rtm5mobddz2p0 ... n.png?dl=0
Maybe you have changed the defaults?

EDIT: I have just tested and for me the display is not dimmed when playing video, so it respects the Power settings for me.

I can also confirm Ludek Findings on Win 10. When MM is playing in full screen Power plans are overridden.

oh ok .. i will try full screen, though i never use mm (or any app really) in full screen mode.

Then if MM5 can't keep the screen saver from starting ... can't mm at least come back to life after moving the mouse? The program comes back and the audio continues ... but the video is frozen. You have to start another video then restart the video you were watching.

MM can prevent from screensaver when playing video, it just respects the Power Options in Windows which I believe by default prevents from screensaver when playing video -- until you changed it manually?
What is your power plan for "when video is playing" option? Viz my screengrab above.

Note that it does not depend whether video is playing full-screen or just in the preview window. For me the display is never dimmed once a video is playing.
