Windows 8.1 MM5 5.0.0.2219
If I do a backup by clicking "File -> Manage Database... -> Backup Database now -> yes" and then press the remaining "OK"-button of the "manage Database"-panel while the backup is beeing performed, MM5 GUI freezes (backup continues and finishes).
The GUI freezes with the overlay-message "Checking database structure".
I have to kill MM5 via taskmanager.

Just tried that here and it completed successfully. Try it again .. if it happens again follow the steps in my signature on how to report errors
